Katy Perry and RihannaFierce dresser often texts her celebrity pals before big events to make sure their outfits don’t clash.

The “Rude Boy” singer - who is known for her eccentric fashion choices - revealed her biggest fear is showing up on the red carpet dressed in identical clothes to her friends and Lady Gaga.

“My worst nightmare would be a clash on the red carpet - so we all text each other before to make sure. We’re all kind of fearless with fashion. So Katy and I speak all the time about what we’re going to wear. And Gaga.”

Rihanna admitted she and Katy once came close to having an embarrassing fashion moment when they both chose the same dress to wear to the Metropolitan Institute Costume Gala. “One time we were going to the Met Ball, and Katy phoned me to check. We were like, ‘Oh My God’, we were both going in this dress by Dolce and Gabbana with Marilyn Monroe’s face all over it. She was like, ‘You can’t. I’ve had my nails done in mink and it matches the dress. I thought, seeing as she’d gone to all that effort, I’d let her wear it.”

Alexa Chung thinks she dresses like “a granny.”

The model-turned-TV presenter revealed that while her friends tell her she dresses like someone much older than her 27 years, she thinks her “geeky” style is cool.

“Everyone says I look like a granny. I do sexy sometimes, but never slutty. I’m quite proud that geeky, asexual dressing has become cool. It’s good to promote a different look. It’s cooler to get something for a fiver in a charity shop, than spend five grand in Versace.”

However, the style icon advised she doesn’t take any fashion advice from Arctic Monkeys rocker boyfriend Alex Turner: “I reckon I’ve got it nailed, so if he doesn’t like what I’m wearing, he’s the one who’s wrong. I say, ‘You just stick with the music.’”

The svelte star - who has been accused of having an eating disorder in the past - also admitted she finds criticism about her weight very “frustrating” as she is naturally very thin. “I cannot express how frustrating it is to not be believed when you say, ‘I don’t have an eating disorder.’ I am naturally very thin. I get even thinner when I’m stressed. It angers me because I don’t want to be a pin-up for young girls just for being thin. I don’t want to be admired for being thin, as opposed to being dressed well, and I don’t want the two to get confused.”

Christina HendricksMad Men star thinks that her sex symbol image is a “heavy load” to carry. The 35-year-old beauty admitted that while she loves being an inspiration to women around the world, it can be a burden.

“It was quite a compliment to be acknowledged like that, but it’s a heavy load. It is a wonderful thing that she said but I’m not going to feel responsible for anyone or anything. If I’ve made someone feel better about their curves then that would make me feel really proud.”

However, Christina - who is married to actor Geoffrey Arnaud - revealed she goes through phases of being unhappy with her body.

“I’ve always been pretty healthy about my figure. It’s just my body, you know. Every once in a while someone says something that’s a little inappropriate, but for the most part people are nice. Of course I’ve had moments when I’ve stressed about it but what woman doesn’t? Instead of dwelling on it unhealthily, I try to do something about it, like going to the gym with my husband, or I just try to work out why I’m feeling that way and shake it off.”

Crystal Renn at Chanel Spring/Summer 2011Plus size model has stormed the catwalks of Paris Fashion Week.

The curvaceous beauty flaunted her size 14 figure on the runways of legendary French fashion houses and Jean Paul Gaultier. After walking for the Zac Posen ZSpoke show at New York Fashion Week last month, the model has revealed being treated like “any other girl” in Paris has been an “amazing” experience.

“This has been one of the most amazing times of my life. I’ve done one show before, usually as a special guest, but to be working this much is incredible. Being treated as one of the pack, not the plus size model, is a real breakthrough. I’m here being treated like any other girl. It doesn’t matter my size. It doesn’t matter who I am. I’m going on castings like everybody else.”

Crystal admitted the fashion industry is becoming increasingly accepting of those who stray away from the model norm: “I’m still different from most of the girls at the castings but when I first started, the girls were all blonde, all emaciated and miserable looking. Now, there’s more ethnic diversity. The girls are not as skinny as before. You do see size 10s and a couple size 12s. There is change happening in the industry. There is more allowance for people to be different. I’m so impressed. I can’t wait for next season.”

Kate Moss for Longchamp is treating her upcoming third collection for Longchamp as her “baby.”

The British supermodel is said to be involved in “every decision” of the designing process with the luxury French label. “Kate has treated the third collection as her baby. She is a woman and wants women to enjoy the bags as she would. I don’t think people imagine how involved Kate is or how much thought she gives the details. She’s involved in every decision,” creative director Sophie de la Fontaine explained.

The new line will feature a collection of “city living” canvas and leather shoulder bags, designed for everyday use in a host of military and safari shades, including khaki, cream and brown. An entire weekend range will also be included in the collection, which was inspired by a trip the 36-year-old beauty took to stay at designer ‘s house in Peru.

Sophie also revealed Longchamp is keen to collaborate for a fourth line with the fashion icon: “Will there be a fourth collection? Of course! We hope so. We’d like it to go on forever as long as Kate wants it to.”

Keira Knightley at ChanelKeira Knightley was among the many stars who turned out for Chanel’s show today.

The British actress, who has been a muse for the iconic French fashion house’s creative director , joined a whole host of high-profile names for the event at the city’s Grand Palais. Keira’s fellow muse Lily Allen - who was handpicked by Lagerfeld to front the label’s Fall/Winter 2009 handbag collection - was also in attendance at the star-studded event, with actress Rachel Bilson and supermodel Claudia Schiffer also taking to the front row.

The Palace of Versailles was recreated inside the Grand Palais especially for the fashion showcase, with more than 80 models parading Chanel’s new creations up and down the runway. Despite a new modern take, the classic Chanel suit made a re-emergence on the Parisian catwalk, while pretty pastels, feathers and dramatic gothic-inspired pieces played a key role in the collection.

Meanwhile, Ines de la Fressange - the fashion house’s original muse - marked her first return to the catwalk in 21 years by taking to the runway in a black floor-length chiffon gown and gold costume jewelery, while being greeted by a rapturous applause by the audience.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen‘s fashion line is inspired by Savile Row tailors.

The designer duo revealed their The Row Spring/Summer 2011 collection, which was showcased at yesterday, continues to concentrate on sharp tailoring and “refined luxury.”

“We wanted to concentrate on tailored pieces. The Row is named after Savile Row and refined minimal luxury is what this is all about. Like the trouser suit and doing the perfect blazer,” Mary-Kate told Elle.

The 24-year-old twins had to show their upcoming collection this week after they were forced to cancel their event in September due to the late delivery of a number of their fabric samples. However, the sisters are now happy with the 15 looks that make up the new line.

“We wanted to make sure the production was where we wanted it to be and that meant not being in New York,” Ashley said.

Bernard Arnault and Marc Jacobs

“I used to say in the beginning that I was like the pig in Babe when the farmer, who was not wildly emotional, expressed himself in a super-warm way. Mr Arnault does not express himself in a super-warm way, but he has softened up - I am that pig and he pats me on the back and says ‘That’ll do pig,’ and I just feel this is the highest praise. This is a man who does not throw out compliments or say things to please people - he just does not.”

Miley Cyrus

While it may beat many of her more provocative, barely-there looks inappropriate for every other 17 year-old, there’s no excuse for this wannabe-Ke$ha outfit. Miley Cyrus was recently snapped up by photographers wearing a t-shirt and leopard print jeggings, matched with motorcycle boots.

Her casual look was prompted by her milkshake night with friends, yes, but I’d expect more coming from someone who claims that she started plaid and can’t be tamed. Most importantly, can’t we let go of the leggings already?

Amy Winehouse agreed to design a 17-item clothing range for Fred Perry so she could create pieces which would fit her.

The petite singer is a big fan of the British fashion house’s garments, but after losing weight and becoming a US size 2, found they no longer fitted her.

“When I started eating right, I lost quite a lot of weight. Everyone thinks it was because my eating habits got a lot better and I came to my natural weight. Fred Perry is my be-all and end-all. I’ve always loved it, always worn it, it feels like a living dream. I’m not really skinny but I’m tiny and I couldn’t get anything because they didn’t do a size 6.”

It was recently claimed Amy had been receiving tips for her fashion line from actress after they enjoyed a night out in London pub The Hawley Arms together.

“The pair were certainly new best friends for the night and were inseparable at The Hawley. They were chatting and giggling like school kids over drinks and talking fashion non-stop. Amy has designed a range for Fred Perry so was bending Mischa’s ear about style and Mischa was gushing about how much she loved Amy’s music,” a source said.
